Filip*, an employee of a manufacturer of motion and control systems, suffered injuries at work whilst testing a machine.  As he put his hands into the machine to perform his role, the metal lid on the machine failed, falling onto his hand and fracturing his wrist.

Following the accident, Filip contacted Truth Legal, where he was connected to Sarah Wilkinson in the personal injury department.  Sarah gathered evidence, including medical evidence in support of the injuries suffered and evidence in support of financial losses.  An admission of liability was obtained from Filip’s employer.

With Sarah’s assistance, Filip was able to receive compensation for the pain, suffering and loss of amenity caused by his injuries.  In addition, he received compensation for his loss of earnings, care and assistance provided by his family and treatment costs.

As a result of the accident, Filip suffered a fractured wrist which caused an early onset of arthritis.  In addition, Filip suffered with anxiety and low mood over a short period.

Thanks to the efforts of Sarah and the personal injury team at Truth Legal, Filip received £22,000 in compensation.

If you have suffered an accident at your place of work and you think that your employer was at fault, Truth Legal may be able to help you to claim compensation.
