AMRO (Association of Medical Reporting Organisations)

An insurance company/compensator and medical reporting organisation (MRO) can become part of the AMRO agreement and must comply with the terms of the AMRO constitution. AMROs are regularly instructed by Claimants to obtain expert medical evidence in personal injury claims. If the Claimant’s claim is successful, then the Defendant will be liable to pay for the cost of such medical evidence. AMRO attempt to promote professional standards in medical reporting and maintain good practice in the presentation and use of medical reports.
