Carissa Dedross

Carissa is an experienced Paralegal in our Immigration department. She first joined Truth Legal in June 2022 as Legal Administrator and subsequently moved to the Immigration department several months later.

Carissa has assisted individuals with various immigration matters., including spouse or partner applications, naturalisation, and applications outside the Rules/on human rights grounds. Additionally, she has assisted businesses with sponsoring individuals, sponsor licence applications and compliance.

Carissa has personal experience with the UK Immigration system as a Canadian living in the UK which allows her to thoroughly empathise with clients looking to relocate to the UK.

Prior to her legal career, Carissa worked with marginalised populations as a Support Worker and through volunteer work with non-profit organisations including the British Red Cross and the St. John’s Women’s Centre in Canada.

Carissa graduated from Memorial University of Newfoundland in 2019 with a B.A. in Political Science. During her degree, she focused her research on topics including human rights, human trafficking, and global migration through a gendered lens. After relocating to the UK, she decided to pursue further education in law and was awarded the Postgraduate Diploma in Law (PGDL) from BPP University in early 2022.
