Louis MacWilliam

Louis MacWilliam is our Head of Immigration, Director, Solicitor and co-owner of Truth Legal.

He previously worked at Blacks Solicitors in Leeds as Head of Immigration and worked for four years at a leading London law firm, Bindmans.

Now, with over thirteen years’ under his belt as an immigration specialist, Louis acts for individuals in relation to applications for spouse or partner applications, work-based visa applications including Skilled Worker, and citizenship applications. He also assists with challenges to Home Office visa refusals.

In addition, Louis specialises in helping businesses to sponsor individuals and apply for a sponsor licence.  He assists with all other aspects of maintaining a sponsor licence, including compliance and challenges to enforcement action, as well as Right to Work.

Louis is a member of the Immigration Law Practitioners’ Association and is an experienced litigator having represented clients in immigration Tribunals and in the High Court.

Louis has lectured in immigration law at the University of Law.  He is an experienced trainer and regularly delivers immigration training to businesses, members associations and international students.

In January 2021, Louis became a Director and co-owner of Truth Legal.
