Truth Legal Director Shortlisted For Prestigious Law Award

Truth Legal Director and Solicitor Georgina Parkin has been shortlisted for a Managing Partner of the Year Award at the annual Yorkshire Legal Awards 2020. The awards have become a major highlight of the legal and social calendar in the region and are usually a very glamourous occasion. Of course this year there will be no physical event, as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, but Truth Legal will be represented at an online awards ceremony on the evening of December 15^th, and we hope you can join us!

Despite the event being forced online in 2020, it doesn’t detract from the prestigious nature of the awards, and it is still a huge honour to be shortlisted in an extremely competitive field, so we are enormously proud of Georgina at Truth Legal and will be rooting for her when the awards take place next month.

A rapid rise at Truth Legal

Georgina lives in Leeds and joined Truth Legal in 2013, having graduated with a law degree from the University of East Anglia in 2009. After undertaking a legal practice course at the BPP Law School in Leeds in 2010, Georgina started on her professional path.

At Truth Legal, Georgina specialises in personal injury but in previous positions she has represented defendant insurance companies and retail organisations. She also has experience of employment tribunals and has represented clients in cases dealing with dismissals and discrimination.

Georgina was proudly promoted to Managing Partner in 2019 and she is also President of the Harrogate and District Law Society.
