Challenger law firm Truth Legal has added a Family Law department to its growing list of specialisms.
The new department is being headed by Katarzyna Zatorski, an experienced family law solicitor from Huddersfield, who will be based in its recently-opened Leeds office, located on Calls Wharf.
Truth Legal was founded in Harrogate in 2012 by Andrew Gray, who turned his back on a career with a national firm of solicitors to create a tenacious and affordable law firm, one that pursues justice, and does so affordably. It now employs more than 20 people in its two offices.
Katarzyna came to England in 2008 to study law at the University of Huddersfield, graduating four years later. Katarzyna’s first legal role was with a Sheffield law firm.
Two years later, she was offered a training contract with a Halifax law firm, but one day a week was seconded to Ramsdens Solicitors, one of the largest law firms in the region. On qualifying, offered her a job in its established and well-respected Family Law Department.
Katarzyna said: “I am absolutely thrilled to join Truth Legal. This is a really exciting challenge and a fantastic opportunity for me. It really doesn’t get any better than opening a new department!
“I have had a fantastic grounding for this position within my previous employer; learning my trade from some superb solicitors who were all passionate about this particular side the law.
“Whilst my last law firm had nine solicitors in its family law team, at this present time, Truth Legal’s Family Law department is just me. However, by the end of the year, my aim is to have recruited a number of solicitors to the team.”
Andrew Gray said: “Katarzyna is a first-class solicitor, and we are delighted that she is opening our brand-new family law department.
“When it comes to the department, we have given her a blank canvass. As she will be heading it, we thought this was important and is also demonstrates our confidence in her ability.”
He added: “With the opening of our Leeds office, and now launching a Family Law department, 2021 is proving to be a very exciting year for Truth Legal, and we are only just halfway through it.”
In addition to Family Law, Truth Legal specialises in Personal Injury, Immigration, Employment and Clinical Negligence.
