Earlier this month, following the announcement of a proposed ‘points based’ immigration system after Brexit, our immigration solicitor, Louis MacWilliam was interviewed on BBC Look North giving his views on the proposals.

Under the new system, low-skilled workers will not receive visas and the Home Office said EU and non-EU citizens coming to the UK would be treated equally after UK-EU free movement ended, on 31 December.

Louis was interviewed about the impact this would have on industry, particularly in sectors such as hotels and care homes.

In addition, Louis’ comments were also featured in a recent Forbes article: EU Migration Is Still Falling In The U.K. As The Government Unveils Tighter Restrictions.
