Yesterday we had our coffee morning for Macmillan Cancer Support. The World’s Biggest Coffee Morning is their biggest fundraising event where people across the UK have their own fundraising days to donate to Macmillan.
We got people in our office to bake lots of goodies to raise money for this great charity and here is our spread:
The staff at Truth Legal made pumpkin pie, lemon curd cheesecake, apple bread, and chocolate flapjacks. Dilys at Roche Legal contributed by baking some oat biscuits. The aim was to entice people to donate more than they usually would with all these lovely treats. We also invited our other tenants of the building to come down for some cake and a chat and it was quite a success! We raised £30.00 and Truth Legal is doubling the sponsorship so we will be donating £70.00!
The Macmillan pack came with “best baker” badges, a collection box, very useful tablecloths and some games such as cake bingo and pin the cherry on the gateau – it even had a blindfold!

The money donated goes towards many things. For example, healthcare; information and support to help people make important decisions about treatment; financial support as it can be hard to deal with finances in such a difficult time; practical and emotional support; raising awareness. There is information in the packs about how you can donate money to them.
