My name is Helen Beaumont. I am a Solicitor here at Truth Legal specialising in Personal Injury claims. Since qualifying as a Solicitor in 1995, I have spent more than 20 years helping people who have suffered personal injury, often very serious life changing injuries, through no fault of their own.
I specialise in all types of personal injury claims and have a special interest in chronic pain and psychological disorders, together with orthopaedic and head injuries. The injuries suffered are caused by a wide variety of accidents, such as road accidents, accidents at work or in a public place and sometimes the negligence of other professional individuals or bodies.
In addition, I also deal with professional negligence claims against other Solicitors where the injured person doesn’t feel that their previous Solicitor has dealt with their claim correctly or obtained the correct amount of compensation for them.
I pride myself on the empathy I have for clients, my attention to detail and the ability to gain and maintain the confidence of my clients throughout the claims process which can at times become lengthy and involve complex litigation.
What I really enjoy about my work is being able to guide and support people through their claim and help get them back to the position they would have been in had the accident not occurred. I do this by helping with the arranging of any rehabilitation requirements whenever possible to help achieve an optimum recovery from the injuries suffered. Rehabilitation is often funded by the insurers. In addition, I engage with the insurers to obtain interim payments throughout the claim if possible to ensure my clients do not have the added burden of financial worries during their recovery period.
The best bit about the job is achieving the right settlement and knowing that the compensation will help restore the lives of the injured clients, particularly for those clients who will never make a complete recovery and get back to life as it was before the accident.
Out of work, I love spending time with my husband and two teenage daughters, in particular going out for meals and going on holiday with them. Not forgetting of course the family dog, Jake who is a very obedient and loyal border collie who loves his annual holiday in the Lake District.
