Laurence Daniels

Laurence has been assisting clients with higher-value personal injury and clinical negligence claims for nearly 30 years, initially at Forster-Dean Solicitors in the northwest as head of the PI department and subsequently, in his own personal injury practice which he established in York. He latterly worked for Cole Solicitors based in York and Northallerton having sold his practice to them in 2010.

Laurence has now joined the clinical negligence team at Truth Legal Solicitors to assist in the continued expansion of the department and to add to the department’s breadth of knowledge and experience.

Laurence has a wide range of experience dealing with clinical negligence claims on a national basis, including those involving errors in plastic surgery, dental negligence, failed hip replacements, undiagnosed fractures, claims involving failures in district nursing care, negligence in care homes and residential homes, delayed diagnosis claims and many others. He also has significant experience dealing with fatal claims on behalf of bereaved relatives resulting from negligent clinical treatment and also has significant experience in dealing with high-value non-clinical negligence claims.

Historically, Laurence has dealt with a number of claims where settlements were achieved well in excess of £1 million, including a case involving a severely brain-injured child.

Laurence is a long time member of the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers and his personal interests include a love of music, playing squash, playing the drums and long coastal walks.
